The Suzhou Marriott Hotel opened its doors to guests, offering luxurious accommodations, exquisite restaurants, modern design and great meeting space.

In celebration of its opening, the hotel currently offers a special introductory rate of CNY 788 per night for deluxe accommodations, complimentary internet access and breakfast buffet for two, valid until March 31, 2010

Situated in an ideal downtown area for business travelers, the Suzhou Marriott Hotel is located in close vicinity to the new high tech development zone, adjacent to Suzhou Government and Administrative Service Center, with easy access to Suzhou International Expo Center and China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park.

Spacious guest rooms are designed to accommodate both leisure and business visitors, featuring plush new bedding, bathrobes, flat screen television, ergonomic chairs, high speed internet and a well lit full-sized desk. The executive lounge is located on the 48th floor and boasts a superior view of the city.

The hotel also offers three specialty restaurants featuring international cuisine and local favorites. Man Ho is the hotel’s signature restaurant, serving Cantonese and local dishes, fine French wines and Chinese liquors. The restaurant also has five private rooms with personal hostesses, perfect for small parties. The rustic décor and large wood fire oven at the Alto Vino creates a comfortable and inviting environment for fine dining. Southern Italian dishes dominate the menu and the stylish restaurant is positioned as the best Western style restaurant in Suzhou. Asia Bistro is a reasonably priced three meal a day buffet restaurant that serves a variety of Asian cuisines. The hotel’s ideal location makes it a great venue for meetings and social events. Furnished with the newest audio and visual equipment, it offers 17,000 square feet of flexible space, consisting of 13 meeting rooms and a ballroom of almost 5,000 square feet for up to 450 people.

The new hotel incorporates the latest innovations of Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International’s performance-driven brand. Operating under a long-term management agreement between Marriott International and Suzhou New Development Investment Co., Ltd, the property’s General Manager is Jerry Miao and director of marketing is Loren Zhu.

In addition to the newly opened hotel, Marriott’s portfolio in the city also includes 380-room Renaissance Suzhou Hotel. A third addition, 267-room Courtyard by Marriott Suzhou is currently under development and is expected to open later this year. Suzhou Marriott Hotel is the tenth property to be flagged under the Marriott Hotels and Resorts brand in the country.
