Happy Anniversary to SIP

15 Years SIP Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) is to celebrate its 15th anniversary in May. To prepare for the coming big event, SIP people organized various activities to greet SIP on its birthday.

Forum on Practicing Scientific Outlook and Creating International Brand
SIP will gather domestic and foreign experts, scholars, officials, entrepreneurs, economists, financiers, and the media to discuss how SIP practices Scientific Outlook on Development and creates international brand, to provide advice on its further development and growth, and to summarize and further improve its experience of practicing the Scientific Outlook.

15 People in 15 Years
To select 15 typical people from each field of work and business sector in SIP so as to show the changes of SIP through their personal life and experiences; and then to report their stories at the exhibition on the 15 years of achievements of SIP and in special coverage of Suzhou Industrial Park Today, a biweekly newspaper published by Suzhou Daily.

Calligraphy and Painting Show
To invite leading Chinese calligraphers and painters to produce works with the theme of 15 years development in SIP so as to demonstrate the great changes here from artistic perspective.

Artwork Show
To select and exhibit quality artistic works of photography, sculpture, and posters demonstrating the great changes of SIP in the past 15 years, at Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Centre.
Theme Show A: sculptural and photographic works focusing on the theme of "Vibrating City Melody" to show the products of city sculptures and landscape views with different styles so as to show the city public environmental artistic achievement in SIP by combining pictures, texts, and models.

Theme Show B: poster show on glimpses of SIP from unique and creative perspectives.

Long-distance Race
SIP will organize 10,000 people from SIP administrative authorities, companies, and organizations to take part in a long-distance race along the landmark road sections in SIP to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Jinji Lake Waterscape Show Week
As part of the celebration, SIP will offer the large-scale waterscape show on Jinji Lake for a week with different music and firework themes everyday. At the same time, there will be promotion activities and competitions on fashion and recreation at City Square, during which leading professional bands will give live show on stage, demonstrating the appeal of this modern Suzhou.

Tour Art Shows
These art shows have programs created by SIP companies and SIP people to celebrate the 15th anniversary of SIP, which gives ordinary people a chance to participate in the celebration and enriches the cultural life of SIP people. The road shows at towns, Hudong and Huxi Community started in early March, while the SIP shows will be arranged around May 1 national holidays.

Campus Cultural Activities
Higher education institutes, high and primary schools in SIP will join hands in giving a large-scale Campus Culture Festival, celebrating the 15th anniversary of SIP in various forms of speeches, exhibitions, performance, and reading. Other activities include the interactions with Singapore students in the form of exchange of correspondence recounting the changes in SIP in the 15 years as well as charity auctions of painting and calligraphy by preschoolers at kindergartens.

Spring Flea Market and Treasure Hunting Carnival
SIP will organize the biggest flea market in the history of Suzhou as well as a car trunk flea market, incorporating the theme of celebrating the 15th anniversary of SIP, providing a chance for people to hunt for treasures, and publicizing the concept of constructing ecological civilization. In order to celebrate its15th anniversary, SIP encourages efforts to construct a harmonious and energy-saving industrial park of green environment, to exchange used goods for more efficient use of resources, to share a happy interaction between people and vehicles, and to experience an environment-friendly city market.

Chongyuan Temple Blessing Ceremony
The senior monks at Chongyuan Temple will organize a blessing ceremony according to Buddhist tradition, praying for the future of SIP and the successful cooperation between China and Singapore.

"Suzhou Original" Digital Entertainment Carnival
SIP will invite all the companies in creation sector to participate in the idea and electronics competition by centering on the 15th anniversary of SIP in the form of animation, film, and multimedia so as to further promote the brand name of SIP creation highland.

Special Performance at Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Center
Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Centre will invite leading domestic and foreign bands to present a special performance celebrating the 15th anniversary of SIP.

"Genway Cup"Suzhou DV Competition
The competition centers on the theme of LOHAS and City, requiring the contestants to record the changes, development, and prosperity of SIP after 15 years of growth, to show the different facades of city life in modern SIP, to publicize a lifestyle of health and sustainability (LOHAS). It's a platform for DV fans and ordinary people to show their healthy lifestyles.

Special Celebration Sales
The stores and shops in SIP will also participate in the celebration with special sales, attractive discounts, and lucky draws, so as to get more people and more business opportunities. These activities cleverly weave the elements of 15th anniversary into promotion and discounts, for example, a collection of SIP's 15th anniversary logos can be converted into certain prize and bonus.
