Decathlon sports superstore in SIP (Jinjihu Lu/Sujiahang Highway intersection - on 1F of Auchan hypermarket) has a great choice of high-quality bikes - starting at around 500RMB for single-speed urban bikes but they also sell road-bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids etc. I've got 2 bikes - a 5 speed urban bike (999RMB) and a 21-speed hybrid (road/mountain - 2200RMB) - both are high quality with SRAM and Shimano components. Staff speak English and have good cycling knowledge and for the quality of product they are very cheap. They have 3-year warranty and their in-store workshop will repair most problems (flats, deraillieur maintenence, brake tuning etc) for free and will replace cables, tires, flywheel etc at very low price. They also carry a wide range of accessories (saddle-bags, lights, racks etc) as well as cycling clothes so you can customize the bike to your liking.
