Unprecendented big fall of snow start on Jan 26, 2008 in Suzhou. The biggest ever snow probably in the last five decades. Though no deaths or injuries have been reported, the local government estimated at least 100,000 people were affected as snow has cut roads, power and drinking water, damaged at least 500 homes and destroyed at least 10,000 hectares of cropland. Suzhou’s infrastructure is not prepared for snow or ice. The traffic situation was horrendous, some sort of gravel was strewn accross the roads on most bridges, but there were plenty of cars that were doing 360 degree spins. A drive that would normally take 30 minutes took about 1.5 hours. Garden Streets Cars Cars Crazy Bike Driver Streets
