Regalia Resort Hotel at Ligongdi Island, SIP, was formally opened for business on Oct. 13. The hotel is located at the tip of the causeway surrounded by the scenic Jinji Lake, featuring cultural traditions of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Swimming pools, authentic Thai spa, Thai-style decorations and luxuriant hotel amenities make the hotel an ideal holiday resort.

The hotel has 45 rooms, each with a private balcony offering vantage points for picturesque lake scenes on all sides. The luxury suites are equipped with private outdoor massage tub for sheer relaxation. Standing at the wooden porch of the room at the edge of Jinji Lake, the guest will be enchanted by the beauty of nature.

The Regalia Serviced Residence Management, a subsidiary of Grand Central Holdings Ltd. (GCH) of Hong Kong, has in recent years been actively involved in developing leisure and vacation projects in Shanghai. The Regalis Hotel in Suzhou is the first small-sized luxury hotel and the fifth of Regalia chain hotels in Mainland China. The spa center at Regalia is run by the famous Thai Privilege Spa Company and staffed with some thirty professional service personnel from Thailand.

Ligongdi is the only long causeway in Jinji Lake with a length of 1,400 meters, originally built by the magistrate of Yuanhe County of Suzhou during the Guangxu Reign of the Qing dynasty.

The first phase of property development on the causeway features a waterside street of international culinary culture with restaurants, entertainments, and leisure facilities.

Based on the successful development of the first phase, SIPUD is now drawing plans for the Phase-2 development of the causeway project on the southern shores of Jinji Lake, and upon completion, Ligongdi will become a scenic business street with the largest-scaled landscape panorama in Suzhou.
