Living at the SIP and studying at Soochow Uni 7 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm moving to Suzhou next year and I'm planning on continuing my Chi language studies as Soochow Uni. My bf's got a flat in the SIP area but I'm affraid it's real far from the uni? Is there anyone who currently live (or have lived) in SIP and study (or have studied) at Soochow Uni?? What options are there for commuting between the two spots? Bus? Or only taxi? And how long does it take??

Greatful for any help!!

Hi,

it depends on where in SIP. as SIP is a quite big area. Do you know the road name near the appartment, then will have the idea about the distance.

Well before he used to live in that area where there is a Starbucks and a little 'western restaurant strip' (I'm sorry but I don't remember the name). I think it is called xin du guang chang? (The 'new square' but now we have a chance to relocate and I am thinking is this area good or are there better ones with access to public transport. My bf wants to stay in the SIP though so cannot move to the city center.

Hi, I'm a native Chinese and also a student in Suzhou University. the place you are going to live in is quite near by the University. I've got friends living there. And they ride their bikes to school which is very convenient. Probably we can meet at school. Suzhou University is very beatigul and got a lot of oversea students here. Welcome to join our school.
