BSA/Cub Scouts & Korean Tae Kwon Do? 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Possibly moving to SIP with family. My son is a Cub Scout, Boy Scouts of America. I know there are BSA Packs/Troops in Shanghai. Are there any in Suzhou? Secondly, my son takes Tae Kwon Do in the States. Are there Korean Tae Kwon Do classes in Suzhou?

Since my son also got Tae-kwon-Do training in NA (Canada), it really took me some time to find a suitable class here in Suzhou. There are many Tae-kwon-Do classes in Suzhou, being run by Chinese or Korean instructors with different levels. Some are good, some are just so-so and for the beginners. Most of them are of WTF (world Tae-kwon-do foundation), which is more popular in China. Some is the mixture of Kong-ku and Karate. There is only one Do-Jang for ITF (international Tae-kwon-do) in Kun Shan, 40-50 minutes away from SIP by driving. If your kid gets training of ITF and already at higher level, it is better to go to Kunshan, unless your kid doesn't mind to start from the beginning. If you need further info, let me know.

oops, i made some typo there. WTF = world Tae-kwon do Federation; ITF = International Tae-kwon do Federation.
