Watching TV is normally restrained in a room. But from the end of April, we can enjoy Suzhou Mobile TV programs during bus rides. This is an Y1 bus. Different to other buses, it has a Liquid Crystal Display been installed in the front of the bus. That is the trial broadcasting of Suzhou Mobile TV programs. For many passengers, it is the first time to watch TV in a bus. The Suzhou Mobile TV will broadcast the programs of Suzhou News Channel for the moment. The construction of metro is very important to develop the modernization level of Suzhou city. Yesterday deputy manager of Guangzhou Metro Company and chief engineer - Mr. Chen Shaozhang was invited to Suzhou to introduce the circumstances of Guangzhou metro. In order to learn the new conceptions and new ideas from other cities, Suzhou CPC Secretary Mr. Wang Rong, Mayor Mr. Yan Li and other officials listened to Mr. Chen's report. Suzhou has started metro researching and layout work from 1996. After extractive plan and argumentations, the preparative work is almost finished, and the first draft of Metro Line 1 is finished. Development and Reform Commission of China has approved formally the Metro Project of Suzhou on February 5th. Metro Line 1 will start construction in October this year. More and more cities are planning construct metro lines recent years. The first 15 cities have planned to build 6000 km metro lines, and the metro lines will reach 9000 km if adding the second 16 cities. As the Suzhou metro is building soon, to learn the conceptions and experiences from other cities is very important. In the report meeting, Mr. Chen Shaozhang passed an important point of view that is "The earlier starting the construction, the better will it be to city traffic." he said, "as all the conditions is OK, it will be better to start the construction as early as possible." No matter considering the usage of underground space resource, the improvement of residents' traffic manner and the strategy of city development, the metro should be built as early as possible. Mr. Chen introduced the instances and details of Guangzhou metro's construction, management and mechanism system. He also gave many practical advices to Suzhou metro constructions. Suzhou mayor Mr. Yan Li said, "The level of public transportation is a symbol of city function and development. To develop the metro system is a trend of modern traffic and a success experience of many cities in the world. As a low energy consuming, low pollution, low ground occupation traffic manner, metro is a 'green traffic method'. Suzhou Amusement Land Paddling Land is a popular resort in summers among Suzhou residents. But perhaps you don't know yet, the Paddling Land has been almost demolished, what's going on there? The sixth national railway speedup will be implemented from 18th April 2007. That means the speed of trains can reach a speed over 200 km per hour. The Shanghai - Nanjing railway has been sealed off to protect the railway and safety of travelers. Now it takes you 50 minutes to travel by train from Suzhou to Shanghai, but after 18th April, new trains with initial letter D will speed up from 160 km per hour to 200 km per hour, that means it taking only 37 minutes or shorter from Suzhou to Shanghai by train. The ticket price will be 22 yuan as same as the soft-seat ticket.

Some 100,000 positions will be on offer in Beijing in March, starting with the first big job fair after the Spring Festival on Tuesday at the International Exhibition Center. More than 550 enterprises will offer a variety of positions across a number of fields at tomorrow's job fair. Baidu, China Merchants Bank and Lenovo China are just some of the companies seeking new talent. Beijing Evening News reports another nine large job fairs are scheduled in the capital city later in March. The Beijing Municipal Personnel Bureau says a number of job fairs targeting this year's graduates will also be held in Beijing in March. More job fairs will be held in May, August and December this year to help graduates to find jobs.

China stocks took a roller coaster ride in the first two sessions after the Spring Festival, suffering a record daily tumble Tuesday after reaching an all-time high the previous day. The tumble set the tone for the stock trading in the Wall Street, according to the Associated Press. Local insurance regulators checked 2,635 branches of insurance companies and insurance intermediary firms around the country last year. Regulators fined 409 firms almost 15 million yuan (1.88 million U.S. dollars). Major illegal activities included reporting false business and fiscal transactions, inappropriately reducing premiums to attract customers, misleading consumers and defaming competitors, according to the commission. It said property insurers accounted for 58.5 percent of the firms that were punished, followed by life insurers which accounted for 24.2 percent.
